Film Actor / Martial Artist / Performing Artist

Virgil Mayor Apostol
Film Actor | Los Angeles, CA
The actor Virgil Mayor Apostol was born in the Year of the [wood] Dragon. He was born in Los Angeles, raised in San Diego, went to school in the Philippines, and has lived in Honolulu, HI and in Yellow Springs, OH. His ancestry is of Ilokano heritage from the Northern Philippines.
Along with the healing and martial traditions, acting is also in his blood. His grandfather was a theater script writer/director and martial arts instructor, while his mother led annual nativity plays. As a performing artist and musician, being in front of the camera always felt natural. Since he is also a writer, expressing his words, thoughts, emotions, and creative imagery was always put to paper. His book, “Way of the Ancient Healer,” is a testimony to this. His first supporting role as an actor took place in 2015 while accompanying his girlfriend to a film shoot. Upon meeting Apostol, the director demanded that he write him into the script.
Acting has since enabled Apostol to embody these expressions on a whole other level that takes the audience with him on an emotional roller coaster and on a journey of imagination. Being an actor for Virgil Apostol feels so natural it’s almost like breathing for him.
